Yesterday, Pastor Tadd, wrapped up our Now What? series by teaching us the importance of “breaking bread” together as a church family. He laid out what the Bible has to say about Followers of Jesus loving one another, praying for one another, and slowing down the busyness of our lives to make time for one another. Pastor Tadd emphasized 5 ways for us to practically begin taking the next step in our walk with Jesus. Here are 5 ways/opportunities for you to begin living this out on a weekly basis:
1. Join a LifeGroup. LifeGroups are small groups of people that meet in homes throughout our community. They spend time discussing the messages we hear at PRC each week, they eat together, and do fun activities together. This is a great way for you to get plugged in and begin building relationships with other Followers of Jesus who want to pray for you, encourage you, and be there for when you need someone. We really encourage you to give a LifeGroup a try. We have various LifeGroups that meet on different nights of the week to accommodate your schedule. If you’re interested in joining a LifeGroup, then simply email Will Hatten and he will be in contact with you shortly.
2. Pine Ridge U – Next Steps Class. Next Steps Class begins this Sunday and will run from Feb. 5th – 26th. This class is designed for you to find-out more about taking the next step in your relationship with Jesus. We plan to educate, equip, and resource you with what we believe that God wants next for your life. You’ll be able to ask questions and we’ll do our best to get you pointed in the right direction. This class will be held from 9:30a-10:30a in our Ignite Students Room. Get registered online HERE!
3. Join a Bible Study Group. Every Tuesday morning at 6:00a & Tuesday night at 6:30p, the men of PRC gather at the church for a time of Bible study and prayer. Our PRC ladies have a time of prayer and Bible study every Thursday night at 6:30p at PRC as well. These groups also gather throughout the year to take part in other fun activities outside of the church.
4. Monthly Night or Prayer. Beginning Tuesday Feb. 7th at 6:30p, we will hold a monthly night of prayer at PRC. This will be open to anyone that wants to attend. We will hold these night of prayers on the first Tuesday night of every month. We will use this time to pray for our church, the needs of our church, the needs in our community, what God is planning and doing within our church, and much more. We want to make prayer an even bigger priority for our church this year. Pastor Tadd often quotes his childhood pastor who said. “Nothing of eternal significance has ever happened outside of prayer”. We believe that God has something huge in store for our church this year and we want every decision we make to begin and end in prayer.
5. Volunteer Teams. Volunteer Teams are a great way to live out our calling as Followers of Jesus within the local church. We know that Jesus himself was the greatest servant and our life has been called to model His. Our Volunteer Teams make everything we do at PRC possible. We offer teams ranging from our PRC Kids and PRC Student teams, our Guest Services teams, our PRC Cafe, our Production Team, our Parking Team, our Workshop Wednesday team, our first time decision follow-up team, and more. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get connected to team and begin serving with others that are passionate about seeing the church advance. If you’re interested in joining at team, then email Brandon Delk and he will contact you shortly.
These are 5 simple ways for you to take the next step in getting connected with others at PRC. We encourage you to give one, if not all, of these areas a try. It is our desire for you to build relationships within our church and these are just a few of the ways for you to do that. Give one of these areas a try and just see what it has to offer.
The next step is yours,
PRC
