Finally, my office is done! I spent everyday and every night up here at our new offices last week…trying to get mine up and running. I had to get rid of the old wallpaper [that turned into a nightmare] before I could even begin painting. I spent Friday night and this afternoon putting together my office furniture and I have to say it has come together very nicely.
Moving out of Smith Elementary was the best thing to ever happen to us [no offense to Smith]. Most of you know that we get to keep our worship auditorium set-up all throughout the week and now we get to keep all of our children’s and preschool set up too [except for our nursery]. With our lease here at New Directions, we permanently maintain over 70% of this almost 39,000 square foot building [not including 5,000 square foot warehouse in the back]. On top of that we have our own office wing here and we were given 10 office spaces…not that we need 10 right now because there are only 2 of us up here full time. But it has allowed everyone on the team to have their own space and given us some room to grow as well.
I am sitting here in my new office and I am just amazed at what God has given us. Whoever hears of a church plant that basically hast their own building and is only 14 weeks old? I don’t say that to brag…I say that because it flat-out doesn’t make sense. I love it when God stuff that doesn’t make sense because only He can get the glory for it. This move was ALL God and Pine Ridge, we are more blessed than we even realize! I hope we never lose site of all that God has given to us!!
