One Response to “NBC Interview | Extended Version”

I watched the interview last night and the extended version. Tadd, I had to post on your blog, for all to see, how thankful many of us are that you handled the political questions so well. I am sick and tired of evangelicals being lumped together with right ring politics and fundamentalists. Even if some in the evangelical movement take those stands, it is high time we extrapolate ourselves from such pigeon holing and make sure our main focus is reaching people with the love of God. Let’s get people to Jesus first. Our communities and teaching and His Holy Spirit will take care of the rest.

In the post modern context in which we live, we will hurt our cause for Christ when and if we fall into one or the other political sides. Besides that, Jesus never taught us to go political. Rather, He started a subversive revolution for the Kingdom of God. We tend to forget that He was killed by the political Roman establishment as an insurrectionist.

My favorite part of the interview was when Brian Williams came back on and basically said to Tom Brokaw, this new emerging evangelical movement “Surely has a different feel.” Exactly! Thanks be to God! So, WELL DONE MY BROTHER AND FRIEND. You made us proud and even more thankful than before for the opportunity to partner with Pine Ridge.

    Peace,
Benji Kelley (An evangelical in case any are wondering? :>)
